The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Biretrograde Calendar RDDBEX1179 is a distinctive expression of the Maison’s signature retrograde watchmaking, housed in a sculpted 40mm pink gold case. Its design pays tribute to Roger Dubuis’ historic fascination with biretrograde displays, presenting the day and date through symmetrical “ecliptic” counters that sweep across their scales before instantly returning to zero.

The multi-layered dial combines a silver-plated satin-brushed surface with a ridged double-sided flange, pink gold detailing and mother-of-pearl inserts positioned at 12 and 6 o’clock. Polished and gold-plated hour markers feature white Super-LumiNova, while the intricately crafted 18K gold skeleton hands reinforce the watch’s highly architectural aesthetic.

At its heart is the in-house automatic Calibre RD840 Monobalancier, a 244-part movement offering a 60-hour power reserve. Decorated and hand-finished to meet the stringent Poinçon de Genève standards, the movement is visible through the open case back and features a historically inspired oscillating weight.

The watch is completed with a premium brown calf-leather strap and an interchangeable 18K pink gold triple-folding buckle. The Quick Release System allows the strap and clasp to be changed with ease.

The movement contains 244 components and 40 jewels, operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz), and provides a 60-hour power reserve. Finished with Côtes de Genève, perlage, chamfering, mirror polishing and other hand-finishing techniques, and certified by the Poinçon de Genève.

DIAL
Silver-plated satin-brushed dial with a seven-layer construction, double-surface flange featuring a ridged upper section and opaline slope, pink gold outlines and text, and mother-of-pearl inserts at 12 and 6 o’clock. Pink gold-plated satin-brushed calendar displays indicate the day and date through the signature biretrograde arrangement. Polished and gold-plated hour markers feature white Super-LumiNova.

CASE
40mm 18K pink gold case with distinctive triple-lug construction, sculpted geometric lines, graphic fluted bezel and multi-component crown. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and an open pink gold case back. Water resistance rated to 100 metres (10 bar).

STRAP
Premium brown calf-leather strap constructed in volume to follow the case and movement architecture. Interchangeable through Roger Dubuis’ Quick Release System and paired with an 18K pink gold 750/1000 triple-folding buckle.
