Description: Successor to reference 5159, the reference 5160 launched in 2010 is a masterclass of both handcraft watchmaking artisanship and innovative modern technology. Immediately, one would be mesmerized by the utterly fine engravings throughout the dial and case, even extended to the screws and clasp. Aesthetically, the stunning spirals and scroll patterns on the Officer case together pay tribute to the historical watches of the early 20th century.

Exclusive to white gold examples, the engraved grooves are blackened with silver powder to emphasize the overall vintage hue. This subtle detail is a testament to their insane attention to its heritage and manufacturing process, recreating a remarkably balanced appeal amongst the best decorative techniques and vintage horological designs.

Reminiscent to vintage pocket watches, this timepiece also incorporates a hinged cuvette, and the magnificent movement will be revealed once it is opened. Housing an automatic sophisticated perpetual calendar, it combined all the elements of a perfect dress watch. The present lot is an example of the upgraded version in 2016 with elegant Breguet numerals replacing Roman numerals. Together with the engraved dial with classic spearhead hands, it brings the watch to a perfect harmony. Although the watch is still in production now, it is rarely seen in the market, as production is very limited due to the amount of painstaking handcraft put into each watch.
